Maria’s mother was often lost in daydreams. As a child, Maria was similarly withdrawn, finding herself in another world. Spirituality was woven into her upbringing, with tarot readings and spiritual artifacts filling their home. Photography came to her as a means of bridging the material and spiritual realms, offering insight and connection to the unseen. This series reflects that delicate space, a daydream suspended between two worlds.

“Photography came to her as a means of bridging the material and spiritual realms.”
