Fading Memories

Through the lens of self-portraiture, this ongoing body of work explores the fluidity of identity, the weight of societal expectations, and the deeply personal journey of memory and transformation.

Rooted in introspection and performance, each image constructs a visual narrative that blurs the boundaries between reality and fiction. Inspired by literature, history, and the psychological dimensions of the self, the work embodies a directorial approach—utilizing costuming, props, and symbolic storytelling to evoke a sense of timelessness. It examines the fragmented nature of identity, the impact of beauty standards in the digital age, the raw experience of grief, and the intersection of mythology with personal storytelling. By immersing the self in various personas and narratives, the project reflects on how we construct meaning, navigate loss, and engage with societal ideals. In a world increasingly mediated by digital personas and fleeting images, self-portraiture remains a powerful act of self-exploration—revealing the complexities of human experience while offering space for connection and interpretation.
