Beauty: Cyberpunk

The cultural movement of Cyberpunk has emerged into film, fashion and music. With its dystopian setting, it has seen a significant resurgence recently from the catwalks of Balenciaga and Valentino to Grimes and A$AP Rocky providing soundtrack for the video game Cyberpunk 2077

Whether it’s Matrix, the ‘Replicants’ in Blade Runner or the ‘Mithraic’ in Ridley Scott’s Raised By Wolves, the interaction of humans and advanced technology becomes a central theme in the Cyberpunk universe.

The makeup, hair styling and photography were inspired by this genre, often also described as ‘High tech, low life’. Think of gritty night time settings and urban street scenes in Tokyo, Shanghai or Hong Kong.
