“We’re not babies anymore.”

‘Love and loss’ are universal experiences that transcend cultural, religious, and sexual boundaries. Yet, amidst their dualistic nature, we often overlook their profound impact on our daily existence. In particular, our experience of romantic relationships. In these partnerships, we continually experience fluctuating levels of grieving and adoration. Who or what becomes the subject of our affection or mourning is a complex interplay of countless variables. Eternally entwined, we find ourselves perpetually navigating the complex tapestry of our feelings and ventures.

“Providence.”

‘Songs of Love and Loss’ serves as a commentary on the various nuanced dimensions of love and loss within romantic interactions. This series is more than just art; it’s a mirror reflecting the intimate intricacies of human connection. Augusto’s poignant artworks invite us into a gallery of emotions, capturing junctures of romance, tenderness, and tension. These pieces enrich our cultural and creative discourse on intimacy and relationships, offering an exploration of the moments that define and provoke our experiences of love and loss.

“I missed you.”

“Just talking to you.”

“And the reason I liked you was because you’re you.”

“You make my world so much bigger…”
