Cao Wilde, the founder and creative director of the renowned sunglasses brand Wilde Sunglasses, is one of our guests sharing his experience at the first edition of Primavera Sound 2023 in Madrid.
Accompanied by brand ambassador and photographer, Alex Connor, whose mission was to capture the performances of renowned artists up close, documenting the scenes with incredible images, and showcasing the trends that are setting the pace in summer festivals, they will take us along with Cao Wilde to relive the moments they have experienced in these two cities. This time, they will share with the festival attendees, immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere and capturing unforgettable moments from a unique perspective.
The excitement could be felt in the air as the audience eagerly awaited to witness great exponents of the music industry such as Depeche Mode, Blur, New Order, and Rosalía, who would kick off this new phase in the Spanish capital. The festival has brought with it all the maturity accumulated throughout its previous editions in Barcelona and now expands to establish itself in the country's capital.
Cao Wilde's comment on Primavera: "The lineup of Primavera Sound perfectly reflects the eclecticism and musical diversity that characterise this festival. From the most energetic rock to the most innovative hip-hop and cutting-edge electronic music, the range of musical genres is simply infinite."
"From the moment we entered the venue, the energy was palpable. The legends Depeche Mode took the main stage, and the charismatic David Gahan captivated the audience with his dazzling performance. I couldn't help but notice how sunglasses have become an essential accessory at festivals. The variety of designs and proposals was a true visual delight. This diversity became a source of inspiration for me, as I caught a glimpse of the new sunglasses lines that Wilde Sunglasses will launch in the coming months."
"As time went on, coloured-tinted lenses began to appear among the spectators. We devised a visual game to have fun and share them with unknown attendees. We shared one of the lens models we were wearing, allowing us to appreciate different profiles of the same product and hear their comments, in addition to capturing smiles in epic moments during the festival. The perspective through the lenses, amidst the dazzling lights illuminating the massive festival stages, allowed us to connect with many people, and it was truly a fun experience."
The experience at Primavera Sound in Madrid was very enjoyable. The sound quality and production of the stages were impeccable. From any point of the festival, each chord resonated with astonishing clarity and power, enveloping the audience in an emotional rollercoaster. But the magic didn't end there; the lighting and visual effects completed the spectacle, taking the music to another level and creating a dazzling feast for the senses.
With the arrival of the night, the atmosphere transformed into an explosion of electronic movement. Artists from diverse nationalities took us to their own world, where each one seemed to show us their encapsulated dimension through their sunglasses. The music elevated the energy of the Madrid night, and the attendees immersed themselves in a state of collective euphoria.
But Primavera Sound Madrid stood out not only for its impressive music but also as a showcase of cosmopolitan and avant-garde ambiance. The fusion of styles and cultural diversity could be felt in every corner of the festival, creating a kaleidoscope of unique experiences.
The music merged with the complement of the moment, creating a spectacular visual and auditory delight for lovers of aesthetics. The perfect combination of immersive sounds with sunglasses and attire created a unique experience that captivated the senses and elevated the festival to an unparalleled level.
Alex Connor, on the other hand, shared some of his impressions about Primavera Sound in Barcelona, "Live music is something that must be experienced firsthand. It's difficult to accurately describe how all the concerts were at Primavera, as each individual feels it differently and enjoys their preferred music style. However, I was amazed by the large influx of people coming from all over the world to immerse themselves in the festival."
Something that truly caught his attention was the meticulous choice of attire by the attendees for each day of music; it felt like witnessing a casting for a movie, especially when capturing those moments through his camera while documenting the festival.
In summary, both in Madrid and Barcelona, Primavera Sound provided us with unforgettable moments. Music, fashion, and culture merged in a whirlwind of emotions, leaving us with the certainty that this festival is an undeniable reference in the global music scene.
