Portrait A Day 2021 is a project by photographer Rory Langdon-Down, who set out to document a year like no other by focussing on honesty, positivity and authentic connection by photographing a different person each day for a whole year from 1st January to 31st December 2021.

About Rory

Rory is a photographer and filmmaker from London, awarded single image winner of the British Journal of Photography’s Portrait of Humanity 2022. His work has been shortlisted for the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize by the National Portrait Gallery, as well as the Royal Photographic Society’s International Photography Exhibition in 2022. 

In 2021, Rory photographed a different person every day for a year, now featured in his debut photobook ‘Portrait A Day’, which tells the story of an extraordinary year through the people that surround us every day. His work focuses on beautifully-shot, human-led storytelling.
