Everything in its right place

In her relentless search for beauty, Paula Rae Gibson photographed her friends Elisa and Stella to create intimate and dream-like images evocative of passion and authenticity.

“There is nothing like being lost from time and space… being fully present, giving your all to the moment. Taking photograph is that for me.”

“I choose who I photograph carefully, they need to be someone I can talk to about anything, be poetic people, porous people, vulnerable yet happy in their skin. Not afraid.”

“I worked with dancers Elisa Vassena and Stella Papi for this project – who are all that and so much more.

“I search for beauty and want to share it. It is a compulsion....it’s about building a world of all things passion, authentic feeling.

“To take something painful and make it beautiful. To sigh knowing that everything is in its right place.”
