Anthology of Rural Life
Over the last 10 years, photographers Oliver Udy and Colin Robins have been documenting rural areas across Europe. Their images of people and places have become an archive of material to document continuities and shifts in contemporary rural life. Anthology of Rural Life will be published as a book in Spring 2023 by Antler Press.

Visions of Eden
What is the American dream? Photographer Ryan Frigillana reflects on this utopia documenting his family as a first-generation of Filipino immigrants in America and growing up in a strict conservative Christian environment.

The Island
When Britain voted to leave the EU back in 2016, photographer Robert Darch felt an all-encompassing heaviness and sadness, uncertain what the future will bring and concerned about the freedom we lost. Rather than trying to rationalise the decision and to make sense of it, he started taking pictures to visualise his emotions. The Island is now available as a self-published photobook.

School of Art
Photographer Matthew Finn got a job at the School of Art in London back in 1997 and he started to photograph both the students and the school itself. His images are an outstanding historic documentation of the height of ‘Cool Britannia’ and the hope which was felt throughout the country at the time.

A TRIGGER
Photographer Elea Jeanne Schmitter hands the power of taking the picture over to her sitters. Her series of directed self-portraits feature people who identify as women within the institutional environment. She invites the viewer to confront stereotypes and to explore these intimate portraits.

Pieza Madre
Photographer Andoni Beristain is known for his bold use of colour, working with some of the top fashion brands. When his mother suddenly passed away in 2022, he created Pieza Madre – an homage to unconditional love, loss and death. Using the colour yellow for bad luck, Andoni’s images are a reminder that we should never take anything in life for granted.

VOYEUR
After his critically acclaimed series, Prints for Queers, photographer Matt Ford invites us into the kink and fetish scene with his new exhibition VOYEUR. The intimate portraits and short films celebrate diverse members of a community which is often perceived as scary, weird or simply just misunderstood.

Auntie
A person with Paranoid Schizophrenia can experience delusions and hallucinations, blurring the line between what is real and what isn't, making it difficult for the person to lead a typical life. Photographer Ana Hop creates an intimate portrait of her aunt's journey at home who was diagnosed with the illness.

Friccións (Frictions)
In 2002, the oil tanker MV Prestige sank off the coast of Galicia (Spain), creating one of Europe’s biggest environmental disaster. Two decades later, Photographer Ariadna Silva Fernández documents what is still visible of this ‘badly healed wound’, acting as a reminder but also a warning sign for future generations.

Belong
What does it mean to be part of a community? Working Mens Clubs are British private social clubs created in the 19th century in industrial areas where people go after work to meet each other, drink in the bar or play games. Photographer Dean Belcher explores this sense of belonging in these clubs around the country.

The Polar Silk Road
Against the backdrop of global warming and melting polar ice caps, photographer Gregor Sailer spent 5 years documenting the Arctic regions. With temperatures up to -55ºC he’s not only pushing the limits of analogue photography but also combines documentary photography with a fine art aesthetic. The Polar Silk Road, available as a book, documents the economic exploitation of the Arctic regions and the territorial claims of the respective neighbouring states.

And the shape of things disappeared for a while
What is our relationship with death in today’s society and why do we often see it as a failure? Following the death of her father, photographer Joana Dionisio created a series of images, challenging the limitations of human existence and how we deal with our mortality.

LET IT KILL YOU
Ben McQueen noticed a deeply cultural overlap between Skateboarding and Tattooing and created LET IT KILL YOU to document this. This coffee-table book brings together eight of the best skateboarders and tattoo artists, interviewed by Ben and with images by Brandon Burdine and Andy Eclov. LET IT KILL YOU is available now.

JPN Journal
Photographer Karim Skalli experienced the pandemic while living in Japan and became witness to how the country quickly changed. With almost no visitors allowed, he travelled the country and shows us the beauty of daily life as an outsider.
